It all started in 2008 when renowned photographer Dan Borris got a request from a friend to photograph her doing yoga alongside her dog—and the light bulb went off. Dan decided to skip human subjects altogether and instead photograph canine companions in yoga poses. With the help of wife Alejandra Diaz-Berrio and their own pup, Mela, the Yoga Dogs idea took off. Next their cat, Snoosh, got in on the action and helped launch Yoga Cats. Featuring many lovable pets from local shelters, the collection includes Yoga Kittens and Puppies, and has brought smiles to millions of people around the world.
