This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.calendarclub.ca (the “Site”).

Personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse and use the Site.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

We also collect information from our retail associates when you visit or shop in any of out retail locations. We may ask you for your contact information to allow us (Calendar Club) to contact you regarding marketing and promotions, store events, location updates, account or order status. By providing your information to Calendar Club, you consent to Calendar Club using your personal information for the purposes outlined below. 

How do we use your personal information?

We use things like order information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (for example, calculating order totals and discounts, processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, identifying orders for internal reporting purposes, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we may also use this order information, and personal information that your provide to us, in order to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- Ask for your feedback on our products and/or services
- Enhance online shopping experiences at CalendarClub.ca (for example, identifying and promoting our best selling items based on sales data)
- Better understand your product and services needs and to offer relevant information, products, services, rewards and programs to meet those needs, including sending you (and others on your behalf) communications by way of postal mail, e-mail, facsimile, telephone, text message, or other type of electronic message
- Support business purposes and programs for you and other customers
- Solicit feedback to provide product insights including to other customers, product reviews, improve our products and services, and generate content for our website

- Determine your interest and eligibility for, and where appropriate provide you with, products, services, rewards and programs
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of site changes and/or our marketing and advertising campaigns).

To help us improve our web site, we use the Device Information (via cookies) to target content variants to you, and to determine your participation in site content experiments.

Sharing your personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. We also use platforms like Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site -- you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We also use platforms like Google AdWords, Facebook and Microsoft Advertising to help us reach customers, and report to them information such as if a purchase was completed through pixel tracking and beacons as earlier described.

Please note that third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies, so you can understand how your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

To help us run our site we also use third party applications ("apps"). Some of these apps have access to your Personal Information, as described above.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

As described above, we may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. We have adopted Facebook's updated tracking process to support recent privacy changes for Apple iOS devices. These new methods allow us to continue serving relevant advertisements to you, while also:

- enhancing security of our advertising account with Facebook
- improving the accuracy of advertising data reporting and Facebook pixel
- encrypting data to enhance the privacy of our customers

SMS

Calendar Club text messaging program may communicate special offers, information regarding store locations, new products and advance notice to up coming promotions from Calendar Club; you can receive up to 5 messages per week. These messages are sent to your mobile device via text message.

Users opt-in and register for the service by providing our retail associates and/or online account phone numbers. By doing so you have agreed to receive SMS notifications from Calendar Club. Opt-In keyword can vary based on campaigns. Users can opt-out of receiving Calendar Club text messages at any time by texting “STOP” to 1-833-308-1884. Users can get help at any time by texting “HELP” to 1-833-308-1884.

- Calendar Club does not charge you to participate in the program, however standard message and data rates may apply based on your existing wireless plan for sending and receiving text messages.
- Please note that to process requests for this program, standard message and data rates may apply to receive SMS messages based on the terms of your wireless service agreement with your wireless service provider. If any charges apply, they are billed by and payable to your wireless service provider by you. Check your wireless service provider if you have questions about your service plan.
- Calendar Club will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS messages connected with this program, as delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator.

Do not track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Security

To help protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

Minors

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
