We recently held an online-only, Early-Black Friday promotion. The goal of this promotion was to divert some of the traffic away from our actual Black Friday promotion, and to also give customers the chance to beat the rush and get their holiday shopping done earlier.
The promotion was a buy 2 calendars, get a 3rd free deal, redeemed through an exclusive coupon code. We sent out emails with the coupon code to subscribers of our newsletter and notified them of this opportunity. The code could also be found on our social media pages.
We didn’t advertise this promotion on our website or through digital ads like we would do for our regular promotions. Instead, we aimed to reach some of our more regular customers, such as our newsletter subscribers, and our social media followers. Our ‘VIP’ customers, if you will.
Overall, the promotion was a huge success, we saw many code redemptions, and I would say we have successfully diverted a lot of the traffic away from our upcoming Black Friday promotion.
